Join me on Wednesday 10th November for 6 Weeks of Yin Yoga online hosted via Zoom.


What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a calm, still and slow-paced style of yoga which works into the physical, emotional and energetic being. Yin yoga provides moderate stress to the body by working deeply into the connective tissue which surrounds your muscles, joints and organs.

During a yin yoga class you will hold yin poses for 2-10 minutes at a time, supported by household or yoga props. As you remain still in a yin pose, you will be encouraged to observe what comes up energetically and emotionally without any need to judge, expand or identify with. By just sitting and observing the physical sensations in your body, you will allow your system to work through any blockages and provide a much needed release.

Yin Yoga connects mind, body and soul and facilitates the flow of chi (vital life force). It helps to stimulate different meridians (energy channels) and chakras (energy centres) that run through the body.

In Chinese medicine, when chi (energy) is blocked, weak or stagnant, it can manifest as illness. Yin Yoga helps to restore and maintain a healthy flow of energy in the mind and body.

Each week we will work through a different set of yin yoga poses to help stimulate certain meridians or chakras in the body.

We will finish each week with a lovely savasana to encourage you to drift from your mat to your bed.

A weekly recording will also be available.

What you will need:

*Zoom app
*Yoga mat
*Yoga bolster or 2 x pillows
*Yoga bricks or 2 x thick books
*Blanket

Optional…

*Eye pillow
*Warm, cosy layers (socks etc)
*Anything to make your space super inviting
(candles, scents etc)

Weekly Recording

I will record each class incase you’re unable to attend or would prefer to practise in your own time.


Important Information

Please read my health & safety waiver before signing up for the 6 Weeks of Yin Series.

The series is live-streamed from my home. You can watch the session from your iPad, laptop or phone.

During the classes you are welcome to turn your camera off, but I invite you to keep it on if you feel comfortable to practise as one community.

Please keep your volume turned off until the end of the classes, when you can unmute and ask questions.
